WE'RE HERE TO HELP

A little help.
A clearer day.

Questions about your things, your data, or getting started?
You're in the right place.

GOOD QUESTIONS, SIMPLE ANSWERS

A place to start.

How do I organize my first items?

Create a location for a box, shelf, closet, or pantry spot. Add an item and assign it to that location. A photo, note, alias, or tag can make it easier to recognize later. Find searches the inventory you have saved.

What happens when I scan a barcode?

Scanning looks up item and location barcodes saved in your inventory. StowCue does not download a product catalog or automatically identify every store product. Save a barcode with an item or location first, or follow the app's add/assign flow.

If you cannot use the camera, enter the barcode manually.

Why isn't my camera working?

Allow camera access when StowCue asks. If you previously denied access, open your device's Settings, find StowCue, and enable the camera permission. Photo access is used when you choose an existing photo. You can still add items and enter barcodes manually.

How do food quantities and dates work?

Use Food to manage saved food stock, quantities, and expiration dates. Keep the records up to date as you add or use food. Recorded dates are organizational information, not a guarantee of food safety.

How do I back up or move my inventory?

Open Settings & Backup in the app and export a JSON backup. Save it somewhere you control. On another installation, import the backup and review the preview before confirming replacement of local data.

Keep a current export before changing phones or uninstalling. StowCue does not provide cloud sync, and support cannot recover inventory stored only on your device.

My TestFlight build expired. What next?

Open TestFlight and check for a newer build available to you. Each TestFlight build is available for up to 90 days. Update the existing installation when possible to retain its data.

Do not delete StowCue as a troubleshooting step without a current backup. If no newer build is available, contact support.

Do I need an account? Where is my data?

No StowCue account is needed. The current app stores inventory on your device and has no ads, analytics, or cloud sync. Exports and operating-system backups can be handled by providers you choose under their own settings.
